The aim of the course is to make students acquinted not only with traditional development theories but also with contemporary models of development, with structural transformation in development world, the role of government in the process of development, with the system of finance in developing countries, changing role of agribusiness in the economy of developing countries, the importance of international trade for development world and with the challanges connected with the use of development potential of involvement of development countries into global value chains.
